Mulloor is located near Vizhinjam in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. It has a small isolated beach and some rocky cliffs. Even though Nellikunnu beach at Mulloor is considered to be one of the most spectacular beaches in Thiruvananthapuram, it is not crowded like the other famous beaches such as Shanghumugam or Kovalam. This may probably be due to its distance (around 18 km) from Thiruvananthapuram city and its remote location.To visit Mulloor, it is better to have your own means of conveyance as it is a bit far from the main road. Once you reach Vizhinjam junction, you can easily get directions to reach Mulloor which is around 5 km from Vizhinjam.
The best photographs can be obtained either in the morning, when the sun is not too high or in the late afternoon. If you are into professional photography, it is better to carry a tripod with you as the place is a bit windy and you may find it hard to hold the camera still.
